I have had three words spoken to me in the past two weeks. One of forewarning (knowledge). One of wisdom. And one of breakthrough. Each related to and continued the message from Heaven. It has left me awestruck. Our God knows all, has the solution for all, and can restore all. There is absolutely no way the enemy can win a battle when Jesus already holds the champion belt and handed it to us! Grace.
One thing these words from Heaven confirmed is that we need to get on our specific tract and not allow anything to sidetrack us.
The stakes are too high – 20 million high. The urgency to duplicate our efforts is getting much stronger. The time is short and the need for what wol has tapped into is massive.
Like I always say we are just a part. Our part, however, is important. Sparks of unity and the necessity of working together as a team is everywhere. We all know it’s true. But how many can show how the Lord will accomplish it in a practical way? My prayer is for that answer to be … many can! Believe me this thing will snowball. The rivers that are flowing are expanding! The river of intrigue and burden for Christian unity and the river of how to use strategy to accomplish it will intersect. Thus the urgency to be all in.
That brings me to the question: “Who are we?”
It was refreshing to expound and regroup on the vision of our particular church last night at our campus pastors meeting! The people of wol have always had the concept of outreach as a way of life. Not just the couple of larger events per year but also for every member to be thinking “How can I go into every man’s world and preach?” How can I as an individual win souls? It could be a single layman ministering at a nursing home, or inviting a co-worker to the Men’s Breakfast. It is asking someone to join you on a motorcycle ride with the bikers group at South. It is a mindset.
Every ministry an outreach, every member a minister. It is all about a mindset of souls! In everything we do it is about getting the saving knowledge and transforming power to our world.
After the meeting Debbie and I did a hospital visit where we heard more of the story on how God saved a man’s life. It was a miraculous story that demonstrated who we are as a church and why we are called to duplication. This man saw a Doctor for a checkup and used it as an opportunity for outreach. The result was off the chart supernatural.
What is outreach? You may see a family member on a visit. There may be an empty seat to fill at your table for someone God leads you to invite this Holiday season. Maybe you feel called to a certain people group such as stay at home moms? It doesn’t take much but it does take a mindset. At wol the Lord directed us to have as many outreaches as possible; to win as many souls as possible.
Saturday upwards of 700 will come for Chili and donated coats. It is one of wol’s longest running outreaches. They will hear the pure gospel. A simple idea that was birthed from one awesome member. She soon got other churches involved working together for even greater results.
What is your outreach? Who is in your world? What are you good at or feel a tugging to?
That is Word of Life Church.
